Building Resilient and Inclusive Communities

In 2021, CCG launched the project called “Building Resilient and Inclusive Communities” funded by the GCERF (Global Community Engagement and Resilience Fund) and has been implementing in partnership with Macedonian Young Lawyers Association (MYLA), Open Gate “La Strada”, and Centre for tolerance and long-life learning (CTLLL).  The overall objective of this program is to increase the resilience of local communities against violent extremism and radicalization. This is done through support and capacity building, especially to vulnerable groups and individuals, in the process of Rehabilitation and Reintegration (R&R) of Returned Foreign Terrorist Fighters (RFTFs). The activities in this project are aligned with measures stipulated in North Macedonia’s national plan for R&R and address the driving factors associated with hate-based ideologies, ideology-based radicalization, and terrorism related recidivism. The project mainly focuses on several municipalities in Skopje, as well as municipalities in Cucer Sandevo, Tetovo, Gostivar, Kumanovo, Lipkovo, Kichevo, and so on.
